First Bilateral and Working Group Meeting between Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of Thailand – TH Hotel and Convention Centre, Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman, Malaysia.
NACC Thailand headed by Mr. Sakchai Maytineepisankul, Assistant Secretary-General of NACC. The delegations include five (5) provincial directors from NACC namely, Mr. Sornchai Choowichean, Director of NACC Provincial Office (Songkhla), Mr. Nattavud Khomprasert, Director of NACC Provincial Office (Narathiwat), Mr. Kritsak Dilokpornhirun, Director of NACC Provincial Office (Pattani), Mr. Payup Khotchaplayuk, Director of NACC Provincial Office (Yala) and Mr. Mongkol Wuttinimit, Director of NACC Provincial Office (Satun).
MACC headed by Dato’ Azam bin Baki, Director of Investigation. The delegations include four (4) MACC State Office Directors which too include among others Dato’ Ahmad Khusairi bin Yahaya, Director of Policy, Planning and Research Division, Dato’ Sok One a/l Esen, Director of Intelligence Division, Dato’ Hajah Nooraziah binti Abd Manaf, Director of MACC Perak State Office, Dato’ Haji Mohd Fauzi bin Haji Mohamad, Director of MACC Kedah State Office, Datuk Abd Aziz bin Aban, Director of MACC Kelantan State Office and Mr. Yaacop bin Angah, Director of MACC Perlis State Office as well as the other senior management of MACC.
In line with Article 48 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), the MACC and NACC has taken the initiative to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2012. This MoU agreement manifests the commitment of both institutions to foster long standing relation, where both parties pledged to support one another in the prevention of and fight against corruption, and to work together in fostering anti-corruption prevention measures.
