International Cooperation

Although having been haunted by the Covid-19 pandemic, Anti-Corruption Unit continued to participate in international cooperation as an anti-corruption agency representing Cambodia. ACU has participated in 10 international forums, most of it held in the form of online.

1. Welcome Dinner and Launch Ceremony of the Perdana International Anti-Corruption Foundation organized by the Prime Minister of Malaysia on February 11, 2020 in Malaysia.

2. Webinar of Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia-Pacific (ADB/OECD) on Safeguarding Integrity in the Covid-19 Response and Recovery held in Philippine on July 28, 2020.

3. The 16th ASEAN Parties against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC) Secretariat Meeting was hosted by the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand (NACC) via video conference on 24 August 2020.

4. Webinar: Impact of Covid-19 on the work of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies held by Anti-Corruption Initiative (ADB/OECD) for Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe on September 29, 2020.

5. An online workshop on understanding the future of digital technology in the justice sector and how the sector can promote transparency and accountability of the International Justice System Program, Synergy Inc which was held in the United States on November 5, 2020.

6. The second intersessional meeting of Conference of the States Parties to the United Nation Convention against Corruption on Preparations for the special session of the General Assembly against Corruption (UNGASS) which was held on 19 and 20 November 2020 in a virtual format in Vienna, Austria.

7. The 9th session of IACA’s Assembly of Parties was organized in Busan, South Korea through online format on November 30, 2020.

8. Online Conference on Integrity in COVID Response and Economic Recovery by Belt and Road Cooperation Partners held on December 08, 2020 hosted by People Republic of China.

9. The 16th Principals Meeting of ASEAN Parties against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC) was held in the form of videoconference and hosted by the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam on December 09, 2020.

10. The 24^th Steering Group Meeting and the Law Enforcement Network Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia- Pacific via online from the Philippines on December 17-18, 2020.
